Reymas Group is working with a Merseyside-based Roofing Contractor who is looking to hire an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team. Our client operates within the North West in the commercial and industrial sectors. They are known for their high-quality workmanship and professional service.

Remuneration Package: Between £55K - £65K, Negotiable (dependent on experience) + Company Vehicle, Private Medical Healthcare, Pension, Travel Expenses, Bonus Scheme (End of year).

Location: Covering the North West and Surrounding Areas (Lancashire, Merseyside, North Wales, Cheshire, and Occasionally North Midlands).

Role Overview: The Contracts Manager position offers an opportunity for an experienced professional to oversee the financial and operational management of ongoing projects. Working closely with the Senior Contracts Manager, this role combines office-based administrative work with regular site visits, ensuring all projects meet high standards. A strong commercial awareness and proactive approach are essential.

The Contracts Manager will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction. This includes overseeing health and safety protocols, managing resources, liaising with clients, and ensuring contractual obligations are met. The role is crucial for maintaining company standards and ISO quality and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct scheduled site visits to ensure safety, efficiency, and budget adherence.
  2. Engage with clients throughout all project stages to ensure satisfaction and clear communication.
  3. Inspect completed work for quality assurance and coordinate snagging, remedial works, and handbacks.
  4. Maintain health and safety requirements, briefing all operatives and subcontractors prior to projects.
  5. Manage stock levels on-site and at warehouses, coordinating material deliveries.
  6. Oversee plant hire and ensure resources are maintained and accounted for.
  7. Keep site files and project registers updated with all necessary information and documentation.
  8. Coordinate with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams for smooth project progression.

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or similar role, with focus on budget and timeline management.
  • Experience working on Flat Roofing packages.
  • Extensive knowledge of health and safety regulations in construction.
  • Strong organizational skills with accurate record-keeping.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with ISO9001 and ISO 14001 procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
