Job summary

McCarthy Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Manager to own a flagship operation near head office. You will lead site operations, plant and personnel to deliver safe, compliant and efficient performance.

The ideal candidate has heavy industry site leadership experience, with a background in waste management or quarrying and a strong grasp of environmental permits and HSE requirements. You will drive standards, mentor teams, and shape site culture.

Qualifications

• Site management experience in heavy industry preferred.
• Experience leading teams on site-based operations.
• Background in waste management or quarrying.
• Strong knowledge of environmental permits and HSE.

Responsibilities

• Lead all site operations and ensure safety and efficiency.
• Deliver waste and/or quarry management plans.
• Manage and develop site teams including training and engagement.
• Plan and resource short and long-term operational activities.
• Maximise plant utilisation and minimise downtime.
• Ensure compliance across Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards.
• Oversee site administration such as reporting and cost control.
• Maintain site housekeeping, infrastructure and security.
• Lead risk assessments, method statements, toolbox talks.
• Drive continuous improvement and adapt operations.
