Job summary

Boeing Defence United Kingdom Limited is seeking a Project Management Specialist for Fixed Wing Strategic Growth. You will drive bid and proposal execution from development through delivery, leading cross-functional, cross-cultural teams to ensure on-time, on-budget outcomes.

Role requires experience in aerospace/defence bids, governance through gate reviews, and strong financial acumen. UK SC clearance is required; relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to gain UK SC clearance.
• Proven track record in project management, specifically leading aerospace or defence bids and proposals.
• Experience with structured gated review processes (IBAP, ESGP).
• Ability to lead cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams without direct line authority.
• Hands-on experience with Risk, Issue, and Opportunity (RIO) management.
• Strong background in cost, schedule, EVM, and budget controls.
• Excellent communication and ability to present status to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead project management and delivery for all Fixed Wing bids and proposals.
• Manage proposals per the Integrated Bid Acquisition Process (IBAP).
• Direct cross-functional teams through requirements development and bid strategy.
• Estimate and manage bid budgets and resources.
• Schedule, prepare, and execute gate reviews.
• Coordinate FW Capability Strategy Review and support the FW SBC.
• Deliver lifecycle management for FW Strategic Growth projects (IWT/IRAD/IAD).
• Oversee project baselines and ESGP-compliant governance.
• Own Risk, Issue, and Opportunity management and mitigation plans.
• Report performance via internal and external metrics; manage external supplier engagement.
