An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated GP to join our well-established, friendly practice on a fixed-term salaried contract for 6 months to cover maternity leave.

To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract.
Furthermore, the post-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.
Our practice has long been recognised for providing excellent care within a traditional family practice setting while embracing innovation and service development. We have established strong working relationships with our consultant colleagues at University Hospitals Dorset and place great importance on education, teaching, and continuous learning.
Two of our partners are GP trainers, and we regularly support Foundation Doctors through various stages of their training.

- The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
- The provision of services commensurate with the GMS contract
- Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance

- Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks
