The United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant General Radiologist to provide expert radiology services and support the existing team. This role includes responsibilities in interventional radiology, teamwork, and leadership, with opportunities for professional development and contributions to clinical education.

Applications are also invited for a full-time Interventional Consultant in Radiology, with an interest in General Radiology for ULHT. This post aims to support the existing team and expand interventional radiology services.

The appointee will provide comprehensive radiology services to ULHT, maintaining high standards. They will report to other sites within the trust as required, with flexibility based on workload. Teamwork and collaboration with the Clinical Director, Radiology Head of Service, Lead Nurse, and Operational Managers are essential.
Employment terms will align with Trust policies and NHS standards. Covering colleagues' absences will be arranged mutually, with six weeks' notice for leave to ensure service continuity.
The post requires medical clearance before employment begins. The appointee must reside within 10 miles of the main site and maintain contactable private residence.
Relocation expenses may be reimbursed per Trust policy.
The Trust adheres to health and safety laws, ensuring a safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors. All staff must comply with the Trust's health and safety policies.
The candidate must be on the GMC register, maintain CME, participate in education and audits, and contribute to departmental and regional initiatives. Responsibilities include clinical leadership, teaching, emergency rota participation, research, and service management.
The IR units aim to develop a 24/7 emergency network and regional collaboration, with consultants based at one site and traveling as needed. The Trust invests in staff development, offering mentoring and professional growth opportunities.
Referring services include Vascular Surgery, Hepatobiliary Surgery/Medicine, Renal and Transplant Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, ENT, Maxillofacial Surgery, and more.
Candidates must hold a Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists or equivalent and be on or near the Specialist Register, with CCT expected within six months of interview.
