Job Title: Plant and Tool Equipment Service Engineer / Fitter

Location: Workshop based

We are a regional tool and equipment hire company seeking a skilled Service Engineer / Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working on a variety of general plant machinery and small tools, including excavators, dumpers, Stihl saws, petrol generators, hydraulic power packs, and 110v power tools. The role involves maintaining and repairing our modern fleet, as well as assisting with team tasks and some driving duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

1. PDI, servicing, and repairing plant and tool hire equipment
2. Working effectively within a small team
3. Maintaining and exceeding workshop targets and efficiency
4. Working well under pressure
5. Ensuring health and safety standards are met in accordance with HSE and company policies

Skills and Qualifications:

1. Previous experience as a Service Engineer, Mobile Service Engineer, Tool Fitter, Small Tool Fitter, Hire Technician, or in a similar role
2. Experience within the plant and tool hire industry
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
4. Ability to work independently without supervision
5. Valid current driving license
