Job description

Fitter/Mechanic - Cheam - X1 Job Available

A Fitter/Mechanic is needed to work for one of the UK's leading landscape/grounds maintenance companies.

Job Duties

To maintain our clients' grounds maintenance equipment.

Working Hours

The hours will be confirmed during the interview; it is full-time hours, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

Salary

£28K to £32.5K salary depending on experience.

Requirements

1. A driving licence is essential.
2. The roles will be made permanent after around 13 weeks if all goes well.
3. The role is working at our client's Cheam yard.
4. Candidates must have a driving licence and experience maintaining grounds maintenance equipment.
5. Desirable: Previous experience in a Grounds Maintenance setting, working on machinery such as:
1. Two-stroke machines: Strimmers, Blowers, and Hedge cutters.
2. Pedestrian machinery: Walk-behind lawn mowers, Powered weed brushes, and Ride-on lawn mowers.
3. Ride-on equipment: John Deere OutFront mowers, Compact tractors, and Tractor implements.

Skills

Good knowledge of fault finding and diagnostics, ability to work on your own initiative, basic computer skills, and communication skills to liaise with suppliers.
