Ashton Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a client for a Hydraulic Fitter in Dungannon. The role involves assembling ground support equipment and fitting hydraulic systems to vehicles in a busy production environment.

You will test hydraulics, fault-find and support continuous improvement while working to production targets. Permanent contract with benefits and a salary of £15.00–£17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Hydraulic Fitter, preferably fitting hydraulic systems to vehicles.
• Solid understanding of hydraulic components and systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Proven literacy and numeracy skills.

Responsabilités

Ashton Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client, a specialist engineering and manufacturing organisation, for an experienced Hydraulic Fitter to join their production team.

Job Title: Hydraulic Fitter
Location: Dungannon
Pay Rate: £15.00 - £17.00 per hour (Depending on experience)
Hours of Work: Mon-Thur: 7am-4:30pm / Fri: 7am-12:30pm
Job Type: Permanent

The Role

Working as part of the production team, you will be responsible for assembling and building ground support equipment using mechanical and hydraulic disciplines. You will also be involved in testing hydraulic systems, fault finding and supporting the product development and design teams with continuous improvement activities.

Duties will include:

• Building and assembling ground support equipment using mechanical and hydraulic skills.
• Fitting hydraulic systems and components to vehicles.
• Testing completed equipment, including hydraulic flow and pressure checks.
• Reading and following engineering drawings.
• Identifying and fixing mechanical and hydraulic faults.
• Working to production targets and deadlines.
• Working alongside the design and development team to improve products.
• Supporting improvements to production processes.
• Moving parts and materials safely around the production area.
• Maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail.
• Following company Health & Safety procedures and quality standards.
• Keeping the work area clean, tidy and safe.
• Carrying out other reasonable duties as required.

Essential Criteria

• Previous experience working as a Hydraulic Fitter, preferably with experience fitting hydraulic systems to vehicles
• Sound knowledge and understanding of hydraulic systems
• Knowledge of hydraulic cylinders, valves, pumps and motors
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Proven literacy and numeracy skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate problems and issues effectively to team members
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Adaptable and able to respond positively to changes in jobs, machinery and processes
• Strong problem‑solving and fault‑finding skills
• Good attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and accuracy
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of Health & Safety
