Job summary

Ingersoll Rand plc is seeking a skilled technician responsible for repair and service of blower and pump systems at our site in Greater London. A strong working knowledge of metrology equipment and reading blueprints is essential for accurate diagnostics and reassembly.

The role requires experience with machine tools or mechanical assemblies, a recognised apprenticeship, and solid safety protocol knowledge.

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship or vocational training is required.
• Experience using machine tools or assembling mechanical components preferred.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and standards is essential.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, assess, and reassemble for repair of blower vacuum pumps and rotary valves.
• Take accurate measurements, replace key components, and reassemble from inspection notes.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records on paper and tablets.

Job Summary

In this role you will be responsible for the repair and service of a variety of blower and pump systems. A good working knowledge in the usage of metrology equipment and machine drawings is vital to the role.

Responsibilities

• Disassembly, assessment and reassembly for repair of blower vacuum pumps and rotary valves.
• Making accurate measurement readings, replacing key components and reassembling products from notes made during initial inspection
• Completing maintenance records and reports accurately both on paper and with a tablet

Basic Qualifications

• Recognised apprentice or vocational training qualification
• Experience of working with machine tools and/or mechanical assemblies
• Working knowledge of safety protocols

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

Fully site based

• Excellent coordination and mechanical skills
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and safety
• Self‑motivation and the ability to be pro‑active
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer literacy
• Ability to lift up to 25Kg and perform repetitive tasks
