Job summary

DoubleTree by Hilton Strathclyde invites a Fitness Manager to join its dynamic team at the Bellshill hotel. You will lead the Fitness team, deliver exceptional customer service, recruit and develop staff, and oversee daily gym operations in a high-energy hospitality setting.

The hotel houses Europe’s largest Livingwell Health Club with a wide range of fitness equipment, classes, and an indoor pool. The role offers opportunities for progression, industry perks, and staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• A true passion for Health and Fitness.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to perform under pressure and multi-task.
• A solid understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Proven experience as a Fitness Manager or a similar role.
• Experience of managing a group exercise schedule.
• Ability to teach a number of different classes.
• Strong Personal Training experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service by ensuring all customers queries are dealt with in an efficient manner.
• Ability to recruit, develop and lead a strong team within Fitness team.
• Manage the daily operations and contribute to the smooth running of the gym floor.
• Monitor and ensure compliance achieved for Health and Safety standards.
• Overseeing the financial performance of the fitness department by managing budgets and controlling costs effectively.
• Provide manager presence throughout the whole health club, particularly in the absence of club manager.
• Ensure the group exercise timetable is kept up to date with new trends.
