Job summary

DoubleTree by Hilton Strathclyde in Bellshill is seeking an experienced Fitness Manager to lead the club's health and fitness operations. You will deliver outstanding customer service, recruit and develop a strong fitness team, and ensure safe, compliant gym floor performance.

The role requires REPS Level 3, group exercise scheduling, and personal training expertise, with a focus on driving member engagement, class variety, and cost control.

Qualifications

• Leadership and people management experience.
• Passion for Health and Fitness.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong organisational skills under pressure and multitasking.
• Solid understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Proven experience as a Fitness Manager or similar.
• REPS Level 3 qualification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing queries efficiently.
• Recruit, develop and lead a strong Fitness team.
• Manage daily operations and gym floor performance.
• Ensure Health & Safety standards are met and maintained.
• Oversee the fitness department budgets and cost controls.
• Maintain manager presence, especially in the absence of the club manager.
• Keep the group exercise timetable current with new trends.

The Person

• Strong leadership and people management skills

• REPS Level 3 Qualified

The Role

• Deliver exceptional customer service by ensuring all customers queries are dealt with in an efficient manner
• Ability to recruit, develop and lead a strong team within Fitness team
• Manage the daily operations and contribute to the smooth running of the gym floor
• Monitor and ensure compliance achieved for Health and Safety standards
• Overseeing the financial performance of the fitness department by managing budgets and controlling costs effectively
• Provide manager presence throughout the whole health club, particularly in the absence of club manager
• Ensure the group exercise timetable is kept up to date with new trends
