Job summary

Sodexo, Cambridge Biomedical Campus, is seeking a Fitness Instructor to lead engaging group classes and provide personalised coaching, ensuring safety and motivation across a vibrant gym environment.

You will work 40 hours per week on a rotating pattern with early/late shifts, enjoying on-site benefits such as an on-site gym, discounted meals, beverages, travel passes and cycle schemes. Join a global facilities leader delivering high-quality fitness services to around 1000 members.

Qualifications

• Certified Fitness Instructor or Personal trainer
• Strong understanding of exercise and nutrition principles
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Passion for health and fitness

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging group fitness classes and engage with gym members
• Ensure a clean, tidy and safe environment (such as wiping down gym equipment)
• Provide personalised fitness coaching to clients, tailoring programmes to meet their unique needs
• Create and maintain a motivating and supportive environment
• Demonstrate exercise and ensure proper techniques are used
• Assist in planning, promoting and executing fitness programmes and events
• Track client progress and provide feedback
• Bring ideas for member engagement (eg competitions)
• Stay updated with the latest fitness trends and incorporate new techniques into your class

Job description

• 40 hours per week
• Rotating Shift pattern covering Monday to Friday 6:00 am – 2:30 pm or 12:00 – 8:30pm, Saturday and Sunday 08.00 – 14.30
• £13.96 per hour

Facilities include Multi use sports court, 2 fitness studios, 3 treatment rooms, main gym and fitness classes.

Working as part of a team of 6, you will be responsible for the following:
