Job summary

Babcock International is seeking a Fitness Instructor to support military and civilian personnel at RAF Henlow, Bedfordshire. The role delivers fitness programmes, coaching, rehabilitation support, and facility upkeep, with 37 hours per week on site.

You will hold a Level 2 Fitness Instructor Qualification, ensure health and wellbeing initiatives, manage equipment and stores, and work in a defence environment requiring BPSS and SC security checks.

Qualifications

Job description

As a Fitness Instructor, you'll play a vital role in supporting the physical wellbeing of military and civilian personnel. You'll deliver engaging fitness programmes, provide one-to-one coaching, support rehabilitation activities, and help maintain first-class sports facilities. This is a rewarding position where you'll directly contribute to operational effectiveness while developing your own skills and experience within a leading defence and engineering organisation. Day-to-day, you'll be required to:

• Deliver physical training sessions for military and civilian personnel.
• Develop and support individual fitness and reconditioning programmes.
• Maintain sports facilities, fitness equipment, and associated resources.
• Manage sports stores and ensure equipment and kit are available and serviceable.
• Promote health, wellbeing, and fitness initiatives across the station.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Henlow, Bedfordshire.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
