About this role

UWE Centre for Sport is looking for a Fitness Instructor on a casual basis to cover shifts (mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends). If you have the passion, skills, and ambition to join us as a Fitness Instructor, there’s never been a more exciting time to join.

You will be supervising the gym whilst on shift, taking gym inductions, creating programmes by design, and instructing Synergy classes as well as managing the day-to-day operations of the gym.

We are looking for a fitness instructor who has the ability to deliver a safe and effective class, inspire all customers, and ensure all customer expectations are exceeded. You must have:

• A real focus on customer service.
• Commitment and enthusiasm
• Knowledge of health and safety
• Be a great team player

About you

Do you have enthusiasm and an understanding for sport and enjoy working in a customer-facing environment, with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of people including university staff, students, and members of the general public? Can you demonstrate initiative and an understanding of equal opportunities and be an outgoing, enthusiastic individual with a positive attitude?

We are looking for a Fitness Instructor who can demonstrate:

• Minimum requirement: Level 2 gym instruction
• Experience working in the industry
