Job summary

East Dunbartonshire Council is seeking a casual Fitness Assistant to run day-to-day operations at Allander Leisure Centre. You will deliver gym sessions, client consultations, 1-1 programming, small group classes, and assist with maintaining cleanliness and safety.

You must hold a recognised Level 2 Gym Instructors Qualification and be comfortable working with the public. PVG/Disclosure checks apply, and staff may be required to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised Level 2 Gym Instructors Qualification.
• Health & Fitness related qualification would be an advantage.
• PVG/Disclosure checks are required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the day-to-day operations of the fitness facility.
• Provide client consultations and 1-1 programming.
• Conduct group inductions and small group classes.
• Ensure the facility is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and repair.
• Oversee safety and behaviour of the public to prevent injury, misuse and damage.
