Job summary

Morrisons is offering a progression path from Customer Assistant to a Fishmonger Apprentice within the Proper Jobs: Fresh Start Programme at our Malton store. The scheme combines in-store training with off-the-job learning and online modules, lasting up to 2 years.

You will start as a Customer Assistant for 13 weeks, then embark on a 12-month Fishmonger apprenticeship, with ongoing support to develop fish cutting, filleting and preparation skills while delivering friendly service to customers.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required; full training and support provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and helpful service to customers.
• Learn to cut, fillet, scale and skin fish and understand different fish species and preparation methods.
