Job summary

Weatherford in Aberdeen is seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to join the Fishing & Re-Entry Team. You will provide technical support, design fit-for-purpose fishing and re-entry solutions, and develop commercially competitive proposals for UKCS and North Sea projects.

You will work with customers, sales and field teams, evaluating well data, planning operations, and guiding offshore activities to minimise NPT and optimise well interventions. Offshore travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Review enquiries and data to define job requirements.
• Design and recommend Fishing & Re-Entry solutions for open-hole and cased-hole cases.
• Prepare technical calculations, tool configurations and equipment specifications.
• Provide onshore technical support during offshore operations.
• Travel offshore when required to support critical operations.
