Job summary

ASCO - Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to support the development and deployment of Compact Workover Rig solutions for well intervention operations. The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chartered Engineer status preferred, and a minimum of 10 years' experience in the Oil & Gas sector. Responsibilities include liaising with teams, developing technical documents, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. This is a full-time position with a 9-day fortnight benefit, based in the United Kingdom.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status preferred.
• Minimum 10 years’ Oil & Gas experience.
• Drilling contractor or workover rig experience essential.
• Proficient in Inventor and/or SolidWorks including FEA.

Responsibilities

• Support the integration and deployment of CWR solutions within project scopes.
• Develop and review technical documentation, interface drawings, PFDs, P&IDs, and 3D models.
• Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Support FAT, SIT, HAZID and Safety Case activities.
• Identify design improvements, operational efficiencies and innovative solutions.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations and quality requirements.

Skills

Proficient in Inventor and/or SolidWorks including FEA

Drilling contractor or workover rig experience

Oil & Gas experience

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

Chartered Engineer status preferred

ASCO Workforce Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Applications Engineer to support the development and deployment of Compact Workover Rig (CWR) solutions for Plug & Abandonment (P&A) and well intervention operations across the UKCS and international markets

Key Responsibilities

• Support the integration and deployment of CWR solutions within project scopes.
