Job summary

Booker in Glasgow invites an experienced Fish Supervisor to lead the Fish Department as if running their own business. You will manage operations, drive customer service, and optimize yields and costs within a retail fish environment.

The role requires prior fish department management, strong commercial awareness, and excellent customer service with cutting skills. Experience with local fish trades is advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience running a fish department.
• Commercial awareness and understanding of yields and costs.
• Excellent customer service and cutting skills.
• Experience with various fish and knowledge of local market(s) is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that the Department complies with all legal and company standards.
• Engaging with Customers, building relationships with them to understand their business and their needs.
• Managing a team and will relish the opportunity to train future Fishmongers.
• Using your expertise to"trawl" for new customers, develop existing customers business and grow the Fish Department for Booker Group.
• Delivering cash profit and sales growth.
• Managing a team to provide the highest customer service and merchandising standards
• Ensuring compliance to health and safety and legal requirements
