Job summary

The Kier Group is seeking a dedicated First Responder to join our Mallusk-based team. You will deliver swift, safe responses to gas-related emergencies and support the on-site team in meter work and maintenance, ensuring regulatory compliance and minimal downtime.

The role requires Gas Safe registration, appropriate qualifications, a full driving licence, and the ability to participate in a 24/7 rota. A customer-focused mindset and a commitment to safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Gas Safe registered with relevant qualifications.
• Driving licence required for on-site operations.
• Emergency First Aid at Work certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to gas escapes and fumes and assist in safe containment.
• Install, exchange and repair gas meters from domestic to industrial settings.
• Perform domestic battery and regulator maintenance tasks.
• Carry out industrial and commercial maintenance activities and DSEAR upgrades.
• Participate in 24/7 out-of-hours rota for emergency response.

Job description

We're looking for a First Responder to join our team based in Mallusk.

Location: Mallusk
Hours: 07:30 – 17:30 Monday-Friday - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

As a First Responder, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the swift, safe and effective response to gas-related emergencies, protecting lives, property and the environment. What will you be responsible for?

As a First Responder, you'll be working within the team, supporting them in delivering emergency response services. Your day to day will include:

• Responding to and resolving public reported gas escapes and fumes, including third party network damages
• Installing, exchanging and repairing a range of gas meters from domestic to industrial and commercial in accordance with regulations
• Completing domestic battery and regulator maintenance activities
• Carrying out industrial and commercial maintenance activities, including function verification and DSEAR upgrades
• Participating in the 24/7 out of hours rota to provide emergency first response coverage

• You are Gas Safe Registered
• You hold CCN1, CODNESP1, TPCP1, CMET1, CMET2, COCN1 qualifications
• You hold a Full driving licence
• You have Emergency First Aid at Work certification
