Job Description:

The Role

ECOM is seeking a target-driven, process-oriented, and collaborative Digital Product Owner to support the digitisation of first mile data in ECOM Origins. The Product Owner will be responsible for defining, aligning, and managing product requirements using design-thinking and technical expertise. The role involves identifying opportunities for digitising first mile data, designing solutions within a team environment, and engaging with internal clients and end users. Travel to origin sites will be required to understand operations, test applications, and observe end-user environments.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage the product roadmap—prioritising features, handling the backlog, and adapting plans based on evolving needs.
• Research and propose innovative ideas to improve, simplify, or automate first mile data collection, utilisation, and visualisation.
• Coordinate with business users to prepare change requests and write user stories outlining business requirements for development teams.
• Communicate progress and timelines clearly to internal stakeholders and collaborators.
• Monitor development progress and test results against requirements.
• Develop a deep understanding of user needs and shape compelling business cases to support opportunities.
• Engage with stakeholders, customers, and users related to the products.
• Support integration efforts between implementation teams and business units, including third-party collaborations.
• Collaborate closely with the Global Transformation Team and Global IT.
• Contribute to strengthening the digitisation process of the first mile in ECOM.

Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in any subject area.
• An MBA or Master’s degree in a related field is advantageous.
• At least 4 years of experience in a similar role and related field.
• Knowledge of field operations for soft commodities.
• Strategic and creative thinking abilities.
• Capability to work with partial information, manage multiple priorities, and evaluate new opportunities.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for managing various stakeholders.
• Experience with project management tools.
