ECOM is seeking a target-driven, process-oriented, and collaborative Digital Product Owner to support the streamlined digitisation of first-mile data in ECOM Origins. As the Product Owner, you will be responsible for bringing design-thinking and technical know-how to define, align, and bring together product requirements. This role involves identifying opportunities for digitising first-mile data and designing solutions within a team environment, with a strong focus on engagement with internal clients and end users. The position requires travel to origin locations to understand operations, test applications, and observe the end user's work environment.

Responsibilities

Tasks will include:

1. Creating and managing the product roadmap—prioritising features, handling the backlog, and adapting plans based on shifting needs or insights.
2. Researching and proposing innovative ideas to improve, simplify, or automate first-mile data collection, utilisation, and visualisation.
3. Coordinating with business users to prepare change requests and write clear user stories outlining business requirements for development teams.
4. Communicating progress and timelines clearly and regularly to internal stakeholders and collaborators.
5. Tracking development progress, monitoring test results against requirements.
6. Developing a deep understanding of users and their needs, and shaping clear, commercially sound business cases to support opportunities.
7. Meeting with stakeholders, customers, users, and managers related to the products.
8. Bridging the gap between implementation teams and business teams to ensure successful integration with third parties.
9. Working closely with the Global Transformation Team and Global IT.
10. Contributing to the strengthening of the first-mile digitisation process in ECOM.

Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in any subject area; an MBA or Master’s in a related field is advantageous.
• 4+ years of experience in a similar role or related field.
• Knowledge of field operations for soft commodities.
• Strategic and creative thinking abilities.
• Ability to manage partial information, prioritize multiple tasks, and evaluate new opportunities.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills across various stakeholders and levels.
• Experience with project management tools.
