Lloyd’s is seeking to recruit a First Line Risk Manager within Market Oversight and Delivery. This role will serve as the dedicated first line risk contact for Markets, responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the first line risk framework across the function, ensuring continuous improvement of the risk and control environment, and liaising with second and third line Risk teams.

Principal Accountabilities
  1. Review and develop the first line risk framework across Markets, collaborating with Risk teams to ensure ongoing improvements.
  2. Review individual function RCSAs, including risk and control assessments, identifying areas for improvement and implementing recommendations.
  3. Support business areas in enhancing risk culture through practical assistance.
  4. Monitor and support the delivery of risk actions across Markets.
  5. Engage regularly with Markets risk representatives and business managers, including chairing the Risk Working Group.
  6. Oversee key controls at the corporate and departmental levels.
  7. Coordinate with other corporate functions on the execution and development of key controls, including the Markets Key Controls Pilot in 2025.
  8. Act as the point of contact for Internal Audit, monitoring audit outcomes and actions.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
  • Experience managing first line risk.
  • Experience designing and updating governance frameworks.
  • Stakeholder management experience within a regulated environment.
  • Ability to interact confidently with senior stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to design and deliver clear training materials.
  • Self-sufficient with good workload management skills.
