Job summary

Domestic & General is seeking a First Line Controls Lead to strengthen and embed a robust risk and control environment across the Product function. Reporting to the Head of First Line Controls (Product), you will help ensure product risks are identified, understood and effectively managed.

Working with Product, Risk, Compliance and Audit, you will provide assurance, improve controls and support governance across the product lifecycle while helping meet regulatory obligations, including Consumer

Qualifications

• Experience from a risk, controls, governance or assurance role within a regulated environment.
• Practical and collaborative approach to risk management.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Lead the identification, assessment and maintenance of Product risks and controls
• Develop and monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)
• Manage risk events, including root cause analysis and remediation planning
• Conduct control assurance reviews and drive continuous improvement
• Support Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs)
• Produce clear, insightful reporting for governance forums and senior stakeholders
• Partner with Product, Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit teams to strengthen first-line ownership of risk
• Enhance risk and controls frameworks, processes and tools
