Job summary

Fortrea Leeds is seeking a Pharmacist I to join our specialist clinical trials pharmacy team at the Leeds Drapers Yard CRU. You will prepare and handle IMPs in a clean room, supporting first-in-human studies with hands-on production and accurate dose preparation.

You will collaborate with technical officers and quality teams, ensuring SOPs are followed and materials are stored under proper conditions. This on-site role offers growth in an MHRA-accredited unit working at the heart of early-phase

Qualifications

• Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) degree from an accredited university.
• Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) in the UK.
• Experience as a pharmacist in clinical research, hospital, or industry settings.
• Familiarity with clean room environments and GMP practices.
• Able to use Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience supporting sponsor, auditor, or inspector visits is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and handle investigational medicinal products (IMP) within a clean room in live early-phase studies.
• Work hands-on in pharmacy production: preparation, assembly and dispensing of study medications.
• Collaborate with Technical Officers to support pharmacy operations and study readiness.
• Assist with study setup activities, batch records, preparation logs and dose calculations.
• Maintain and check pharmacy equipment per SOPs and ensure proper storage conditions.
