Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a first contact physiotherapist for a 12-month fixed term/secondment in Perth and Kinross. You will triage, assess and guide patients in GP practices and MSK Outpatient Physiotherapy Departments, with potential MSK caseloads.

The role supports supervision, CPD, and governance activities across trauma, orthopaedics and general MSK care. Applicants must be HCPC registered and may benefit from postgraduate MSK qualifications; training for imaging, and non-medical

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is essential.
• Postgraduate qualification in MSK/Physiotherapy preferred.
• Experience in trauma/orthopaedics is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide first contact physiotherapy triage and assessment.
• Offer self-management advice to patients in GP practices or MSK Outpatient settings.
• Supervise junior staff and contribute to governance and QI initiatives.
