Job summary

Randstad Staffing partners with a Bromley FE college to recruit a First Aid Certified Learning Support Worker. You will support learners with SEN, helping them overcome barriers and achieve EHCP targets in a post-16 and adult education setting.

You will act as designated College First Aider, assist with personal care and mobility, and work with staff to update support plans. Term-time only role with a focus on safeguarding, inclusivity, and learner wellbeing.

Qualifications

• First Aid Certification is essential.
• Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and Maths is required.

• Act as an active, designated College First Aider, responding swiftly to campus medical needs and ensuring learner safety.
• Support learners with personal care, mobility needs, and physical well-being with dignity and respect.
• Assist in delivering outcomes outlined in EHCPs and person-centred support plans.
• Help students develop self-advocacy, study skills, and confidence to access all college services and activities.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, support coordinators, and external key workers to update support plans and report progression.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

What We Are Looking For

• Transport & Commute: Ability to commute reliably to Bromley for a term-time schedule.
