Job summary

Matchtech is assisting a client in Gloucestershire to recruit a Firefighter Training & Development Coach. The role delivers practical and theoretical fire and rescue training across a range of programmes and courses, ensuring high standards and safety.

You will lead classroom, practical and blended sessions, assess learners, and contribute to course activity coordination while promoting inclusive learning and professional development.

Qualifications

• Qualified Firefighter Instructor with experience in a uniformed training environment.
• Strong understanding of fire sector and curriculum frameworks.
• Nationally recognised training qualification such as AET Level 3 or equivalent or willing to work towards.
• Assessor awards and willingness to obtain Internal Verifier accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality fire and rescue training across classroom, practical and blended environments.
• Support the delivery and improvement of the Firefighter Foundation Development Programme.
• Provide structured instruction, assessment and feedback to learners and delegates.
