Jensen Hughes in the United Kingdom is seeking a Fire Surveyor to join our fire engineering and surveying team across the UK. You will perform on-site fire inspections during construction and operation, contribute to external wall surveys, and support fire safety disciplines with high-quality reporting for clients.

The role requires a degree in Building Surveying or Fire Engineering, strong knowledge of fire safety design, and ability to manage surveys across diverse building types.

Qualifications

• Degree educated in Building Surveying, Fire Engineering, Fire Safety Management or similar.
• Understanding of fire safety design and guidance for different building types.
• Experience carrying out surveys on a wide range of buildings (high-rise, offices, retail, storage, historic).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to write technical reports.

Responsabilités

• Carrying out active and passive fire protection surveys and producing technical reports.
• Compliance assessment against British Fire Safety Legislation and standards (ADB, BS9999, BS9991, BS7974).
• Updating the passive fire protection knowledge base as industry updates are implemented.
• Undertaking external façade assessments and PAS 9980 / EWS1 related tasks.
• Travel to client sites for site surveys and meetings.
