Job summary

Protec Group is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Service & Remedial Engineer to service, test and repair fire sprinkler systems across commercial, industrial and secure sites. You will diagnose faults, perform remedial work and carry out planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

The role involves working on high-security locations, including prisons, with opportunities for training and professional development.

Qualifications

• Relevant fire sprinkler qualifications, certifications or industry training.
• CSCS card is desirable.
• NVQ desirable per interview/application.
• Knowledge of BS EN 12845 and other fire protection standards is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Service, test and maintain fire sprinkler systems.
• Diagnose faults, identify defects and recommend solutions.
• Complete remedial repairs and replace defective components.
• Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Identify additional remedial works and provide details of required work.
• Service and maintain sprinkler systems, water mist systems, fire hose reels, dry risers and hydrants.
• Repair sprinkler pipework, valves, pumps, alarms and related equipment.
• Test systems in line with standards, regulations and manufacturer requirements.
• Complete service reports, job sheets and electronic records.
• Communicate professionally with customers, site representatives and contractors.
• Follow company procedures, risk assessments and health and safety requirements.
• Work independently while maintaining high workmanship standards.
• Travel to customer sites, including secure and high-security locations.
