Job summary

Protec Fire and Security Group is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Service & Remedial Engineer to cover commercial, industrial, and secure sites across the region. You will service, test, fault-find and carry out remedial repairs on a range of life-safety systems, working with a supportive team and ongoing development opportunities.

The role involves regular travel to diverse sites, including prisons, and requires eligibility for prison and security clearances.

Qualifications

Experience as a fire sprinkler service engineer is essential.
Strong practical knowledge of fire sprinkler systems and equipment.
Proven experience in fault finding and remedial repairs.
Experience servicing and maintaining sprinkler, water mist, fire hose reel, dry riser and hydrant installations.
Full UK driving licence and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

Service, test and maintain fire sprinkler systems.
Diagnose faults, identify defects and recommend solutions.
Complete remedial repairs and replace defective components.
Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance.
Identify additional remedial works and provide accurate details of work required.
Travel to customer sites, including high-security locations.
Test systems in line with standards and manufacturer requirements.
Complete service reports and maintain records.
