Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced Sprinkler Installation Engineer to join our Fire Suppression Delivery team across the UK. The role focuses on installation and commissioning of water-based, gas, foam, and hydrant systems on safety-critical projects.

This hands-on, site-based position requires a mechanical mindset, commitment to safety, and the ability to work evenings or weekends when needed. A company van is provided along with career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience installing and commissioning fire suppression systems.
• Strong mechanical background: pipework, valves, pumps.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to meet project deadlines and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, commission, and hand over mechanical fire suppression systems (Wet, Dry, Pre-Action, Deluge, Hydrant).
• Carry out flushing, pressure testing, flow testing, and functional testing per approved procedures.
• Diagnose and resolve installation, performance, and commissioning issues on-site.
• Support pre-commissioning inspections, system demonstrations, and final client acceptance testing.
• Ensure all installations align with drawings, project specs, and standards.
• Travel across the UK using a company service van; stay away from home when required.
