Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd. are seeking a Fire & Smoke Ventilation Engineer to service and maintain fire alarms and smoke ventilation systems across London and the Home Counties.

You will work mobile from our South-East London offices, visiting car parks and other sites to diagnose faults and carry out repairs. The role covers AOV servicing, testing, control panels, extract fans and dampers, with a typical Monday to Friday schedule and a 1 in 9 on-call rota (£150 standby).

Qualifications

• Strong fault-finding, servicing and maintenance background in fire and smoke ventilation.
• Experience with AOV servicing and testing, control panels, extract fans and dampers.
• FIA qualifications or BS 5839/8629 advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Complete servicing, maintenance and repairs on fire alarms.
• Complete servicing, maintenance and repairs on smoke ventilation equipment including AOVs.
• Work across London and the home counties, mainly car park sites.
• Attend reactive call outs, fault finding and repairs on sites.
• Work with equipment from Gent, Morley and Advanced.

Fire & Smoke Ventilation Engineer

Location: Mobile - London & Home Counties
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (DOE)

We currently have an opportunity available to join a well-established facilities maintenance company who specialise in servicing, maintaining and refurbishing electrical and fire/smoke safety systems across London and the surrounding areas, based from their offices in South-East London.

Job Overview

• Completing servicing, maintenance and repairs on fire alarms
• Completing servicing, maintenance and repairs on smoke ventilation equipment including AOV's
• Working across London and the home counties, mostly on car park sites
• Attending reactive call outs, completing fault-finding and repairs on sites
• Working on a range of manufacturer equipment such as Gent, Morley and Advanced

Job Requirements

• Strong fault-finding, servicing and maintenance background within the fire and smoke ventilation industry
• Confident in completing AOV servicing and testing, along with working on control panels, extract fans and fire/smoke dampers
• Any qualifications including FIA qualifications, BS 5839 and BS 8629 would be advantageous
• Based within a commutable distance of Erith, Kent, and comfortable working on sites across London
• Hold a full UK driving licence

Salary & Benefits

Basic salary £40,000 - £45,000, depending on experience
