Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Fire & Smoke Ventilation Engineer for roles based around Erith and London. The role involves servicing, maintenance and repairs on fire alarms and smoke ventilation systems, including AOVs, across car park sites and surrounding areas.

The candidate should have strong fault-finding abilities, be comfortable working on control panels, extract fans and dampers, and hold a UK driving licence. FIA BS5839/BS8629 qualifications are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Strong fault-finding, servicing and maintenance background within fire and smoke ventilation.
• Comfortable servicing and testing AOVs, and working on control panels, extract fans and dampers.
• Qualifications such as FIA qualifications, BS 5839 and BS 8629 would be advantageous.
• Based within a commutable distance of Erith, Kent, and comfortable working on sites across London.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on fire alarms.
• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on smoke ventilation equipment including AOVs.
• Working across London and home counties, mainly on car park sites.
• Attending reactive call outs, fault-finding and repairs on sites.
• Working on equipment from manufacturers such as Gent, Morley and Advanced.

Salary: GBP40000 - GBP45000 per annum + Van, 33 days holiday, standby bonus

Position: Fire & Smoke Ventilation Engineer

We currently have an opportunity available to join a well-established facilities maintenance company who specialise in servicing, maintaining and refurbishing electrical and fire/smoke safety systems across London and the surrounding areas, based from their offices in South-East London.

Fire & Smoke Ventilation Engineer Job Overview

• Completing servicing, maintenance and repairs on fire alarms
• Completing servicing, maintenance and repairs on smoke ventilation equipment including AOV’s
• Working across London and the home counties, mostly on car park sites
• Attending reactive call outs, completing fault-finding and repairs on sites

Fire & Smoke Ventilation Engineer Salary & Benefits

• Basic salary £40,000 - £45,000, depending on experience
• 33 days holiday, including bank holidays
• Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm
• 1 in 9 on call rota (£150 standby payment)
