Job summary

iFire, part of the Ranger Group, seeks an experienced Fire & Security Service Engineer to service, maintain and repair fire and security systems for commercial clients across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas. You will play a key role in keeping systems compliant and reliable, with duties including on-call rota cover and clear technical guidance to clients, while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience servicing and maintaining fire and security systems.
• Strong knowledge of fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive call-outs.
• Diagnose faults and provide effective repair solutions.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Deliver excellent customer service and provide clear technical guidance to clients.
• Complete accurate service reports and documentation.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Participate in an on-call rota to provide emergency support when required.
