Fire & Security Service Manager - £55,000 - Essex

RGB Network is working with a fire & security specialist company seeking a fire alarm service manager to join their growing team. The role involves leading the service team responsible for maintaining, inspecting, and repairing fire alarm, intrusion detection, CCTV, access control, and integrated life safety systems. It combines technical expertise, leadership, and customer service to ensure compliance, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

About The Role

You will work directly with the fire/security director and head of services to manage the engineering team.

Salary Package:

• £50,000 - £55,000

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of the fire alarm and security service department.
• Supervise and support field technicians, ensuring quality, compliance, and safety standards.
• Oversee scheduling, dispatch, and coordination of service calls, inspections, testing, and emergencies.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting for fire alarm and security systems.
• Stay updated with NFPA, NEC, IBC, UL, and other standards.
• Interface with customers to resolve issues and build relationships.
• Collaborate with sales, project management, and installation teams.
• Monitor KPIs, technician productivity, and service resolution times.
• Maintain inventory, order parts, and manage tools and equipment.
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance records.
• Assist in recruiting, training, and mentoring team members.

Essential:

• Comprehensive understanding of fire & security systems.
• Experience managing engineers.
