Job summary

SER Limited, based in Colchester, is actively seeking a Fire and Security Service Engineer to service and maintain a wide range of fire and security systems across commercial properties in the Colchester area and surrounding region.

You will play a key role in ensuring that client systems remain fully operational, reliable and compliant, with opportunities for ongoing training and professional development, plus a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of Fire & Security systems, including CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms and Fire Alarms.
• Proven experience working with these systems within a commercial environment.
• A Full UK Driving Licence.
• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Comfortable travelling across Colchester, Essex and the surrounding areas.
• Good customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining fire and security systems including CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms and Fire Alarms
• Providing high-quality service to commercial clients, ensuring their systems are safe, secure and compliant
• Troubleshooting and carrying out repairs to minimise disruption to clients’ operations
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive service visits
• Completing service reports and relevant system documentation
• Building strong working relationships with customers and site contacts
