An exciting opportunity has arisen to join UHDB as our Fire & Security Manager, leading the Trust's fire safety and security services across our diverse healthcare sites.
In this key role, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for fire safety management and security service contracts, helping to create a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, visitors, and Trust assets. Working closely with a wide range of stakeholders, you will ensure the Trust remains compliant with all relevant legislation, NHS guidance, and industry best practice, while driving continuous improvement and promoting a strong culture of safety and security throughout the organisation.
As Fire & Security Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a safe, secure, and compliant environment across UHDB's hospital sites. Providing strategic leadership and expert advice, you will lead the Trust's approach to fire safety and physical security, helping to protect our patients, staff, visitors, and assets.
Acting as the Trust's senior specialist advisor on all fire and security matters, you will work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to develop, implement, and monitor effective fire safety systems, policies, and procedures. You will provide assurance that statutory requirements, NHS guidance, and industry best practice are consistently met while fostering a strong culture of safety and risk awareness.
The role includes full accountability for contracted-out security services, ensuring effective contract management, performance monitoring, and delivery of high-quality, responsive, and value-for-money services.
