Job summary

PT Renewables is seeking an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join our maintenance team covering planned maintenance, reactive callouts and small works across commercial sites in South Wales. This hands-on field role requires independence, strong technical ability and excellent customer communication, with the opportunity to work on IP-enabled fire and security systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience within Fire & Security – essential.
• Strong practical experience with fire alarms and/or security systems.
• Good knowledge of intruder alarms, CCTV and access control.
• Confident with fault-finding, testing and commissioning.
• Experience with IP / integrated systems.
• Full UK driving licence – essential.
• FIA / BS 5839 training or equivalent.
• Experience with complex fire alarm systems and cause & effect.
• Fire extinguisher experience.
• Manufacturer-specific system knowledge

Responsibilities

Fire & Security Engineer – Maintenance & Small Works

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join a growing team covering planned maintenance, reactive callouts, fault-finding, small works and installations across commercial sites in South Wales.

This is a hands‑on field position suited to an engineer who is confident working independently, dealing directly with customers and delivering a high standard of technical work.

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs
• Diagnose faults and resolve issues across fire and security systems
• Complete small works, upgrades and minor installations
• Work across fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control

• Support complex fire alarm systems, including cause & effect

What We’re Looking For
