Job description

Fire & Security Engineers x 2

We are seeking two Fire & Security Engineers to deliver installation, maintenance, and commissioning of fire detection and security systems, including fire-rated hose reels, in compliance with relevant standards and legislation. The role focuses on providing a safe, compliant, and high-quality service that exceeds client expectations. The engineers will offer technical expertise and ensure project delivery on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

1. Install, commission, and maintain fire detection and alarm systems, CCTV (IP and analogue), intruder alarms, access control, and emergency lighting.
2. Install, test, and maintain fire-rated hose reels according to BS EN 671-1:2012 standards.
3. Conduct fault finding and remedial work on existing systems.
4. Maintain accurate records, including commissioning certificates and test results.
5. Utilize Microsoft Office and in-house software; possess basic IT networking knowledge; use manufacturer software for IP networking.

Qualifications & Professional Memberships:

• FIA Unit 1-5 or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 3 in Fire, Emergency & Security Systems (FESS).
• ECS FESS Gold Card.
• IOSH Working Safely or equivalent.
• BS7858 Enhanced Security Screening.
• Competency in installing and commissioning portable fire extinguishers per BS 5306-3:2017 and BS 5306-8:2012.
• Competency in installing and commissioning fire-rated hose reels per BS EN 671-1:2012.
• Completion of relevant Gent training modules, including Vigilon Basic and Advanced Commissioning, Vigilon Networking, and WINMAG V6 for Vigilon.
