Job description

Fire & Security Engineers x 2

We are seeking two experienced Fire & Security Engineers to deliver installation, maintenance, and commissioning of fire detection and security systems, including fire-rated hose reels, in compliance with all relevant standards and legislation. The role involves ensuring a safe, compliant, and high-quality service that exceeds client expectations. The engineers will provide technical expertise and ensure project delivery within time and budget constraints.

Responsibilities:

1. Install, commission, and maintain fire detection and alarm systems, CCTV (IP and analogue), intruder alarms, access control, and emergency lighting.
2. Install, test, and maintain fire-rated hose reels in accordance with BS EN 671-1:2012.
3. Conduct fault finding and remedial work on existing systems.
4. Maintain accurate records, including commissioning certificates and test results.
5. Utilize Microsoft Office and inhouse software, with basic IT networking knowledge, and manufacturer software tools for IP networking.

Qualifications & Professional Memberships:

• FIA Unit 1-5 or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 3 in Fire, Emergency & Security Systems (FESS).
• ECS FESS Gold Card.
• IOSH Working Safely or equivalent.
• BS7858 Enhanced Security Screening.
• Competency in installing and commissioning portable fire extinguishers per BS 5306-3:2017 and BS 5306-8:2012.
• Competency in installing and commissioning fire-rated hose reels per BS EN 671-1:2012.
• Completion of relevant Gent training modules: Vigilon Basic & Advanced Commissioning, Vigilon Networking, WINMAG V6 for Vigilon.

Additional Benefits:
