Job summary

Build Recruitment is seeking a skilled Fire & Security Engineer to join their team, based from Newquay and covering the surrounding areas in Cornwall. You will service, repair and install fire and security systems, performing preventative maintenance and diagnosing faults to keep clients compliant with industry standards.

The role is full-time and permanent, offering £38,000–£39,000 per year, plus van and tools, with ongoing training and a benefits package in a growing business.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Fire & Security Engineer.
• Experience in service, breakdowns or installation.
• Experience with fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control systems.
• Relevant qualifications and certifications for the role.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing fire and security systems.
• Attending breakdowns and diagnosing faults efficiently.
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance.
• Installing and commissioning fire and security systems.
• Completing relevant paperwork and service reports.
• Providing a professional and reliable service to customers.
