Job description

Job Title: Fire & Security Systems Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Engineer to join the Mitie Fire & Security Systems Operations Field Service team. The successful candidate will ensure the effective delivery of PPM, reactive calls, and small works, while maintaining compliance with all legal and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs, and installation of fire extinguishers and associated equipment to legislative and qualitative standards.
2. Maintain accurate documentation and records in a timely manner.
3. Work in accordance with high health and safety standards.
4. Attend and participate in training to stay updated on technical aspects of the role.

Candidate Requirements:

1. Experience in PPM, reactive calls, and small works within the Fire & Security Systems industry.
2. Service testing and inspection experience, including fault-finding techniques.
3. Knowledge of relevant standards and codes.
4. Good communication skills and basic literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel.
5. Experience with accident reporting, RAMS, and adherence to health and safety legislation.
6. Ability to work independently, share knowledge, and solve problems effectively.
