Job summary

Ser- is recruiting a Multiskilled Service Engineer to service commercial customers across Manchester and surrounding areas. You will work on security systems and fire alarm installations, with a strong emphasis on preventive maintenance and responsive repairs.

The role requires experience across CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, and fire alarm systems, with on-call duties and manufacturer training offered for career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience with a range of security systems; knowledge of fire alarms is beneficial.
• Experience with specific systems like Galaxy, Paxton, Advanced, Gent, Kentec or Morley is advantageous.
• Knowledge of fire extinguisher servicing is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance and reactive repairs on security systems.
• Diagnose and rectify faults on CCTV, intruder alarm, access control, and fire alarm systems.
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately.
• Build strong relationships with customers through a professional and reliable service.
• Participate in an on-call rota.

Multiskilled Service Engineer

Location: Manchester
Salary: Up to £42,000 + Overtime + Company Vehicle

A well-established provider of fire and security solutions is looking to recruit a Multiskilled Service Engineer to support a portfolio of commercial customers throughout Manchester and the surrounding areas.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong security background who is also comfortable working on fire alarm systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance and reactive repairs on security systems.
• Diagnose and rectify faults on CCTV, intruder alarm, access control, and fire alarm systems.
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately.
• Build strong relationships with customers through a professional and reliable service.
• Participate in an on-call rota.

Ideal Candidate

You'll have experience working with a range of security systems, with knowledge of fire alarms being beneficial.

Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:

• Morley

Knowledge of fire extinguisher servicing is desirable but not essential.
