Job summary

Squire Alarms is seeking a Fire & Security Engineer to service, maintain and install across Fire Alarm, Intruder, CCTV and Access Control systems. You will mainly work at local customer sites with occasional nationwide travel.

We welcome candidates with hands-on Fire & Security experience, a valid UK driving licence, and strong fault-finding skills. Training and development are provided to broaden your skill set.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in the Fire & Security industry.
• Strong knowledge of at least one Fire & Security discipline.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, fault-finding, small works and installations across Fire Alarm, Intruder, CCTV, Access Control and Fire Extinguishers.
• You'll primarily work at local customer sites with occasional travel to nationwide sites.

Fire & Security Engineer
£38,000 | Company Van | 1-in-5 On Call | Full-Time, Permanent
We're looking for good engineers, whether your strength is Fire, Security or both.
Are you looking for a Fire & Security role where your experience is valued and you can keep developing?
At Squire Alarms, we don't expect you to be an expert in every Fire & Security discipline.
If you've built strong experience in Fire, Intruder, CCTV or Access Control bring us the skills you already have. If you want to broaden your skill set, we'll give you the training and support to do it.
Training is provided both at our Head Office, where we have a dedicated training room, and on the job alongside our experienced multi-disciplined engineers.
Established in 1981, Squire Alarms continues to grow, and we're looking for another Fire & Security Engineer to join our team.

What you'll be doing

You'll work across a varied range of Fire & Security systems, carrying out servicing, maintenance, fault-finding, small works and installations, across systems including

• Fire Alarm systems
• Intruder Alarms
• CCTV
• Access Control
• Fire Extinguishers

You'll primarily work at local customer sites, with occasional travel to our customers nationwide when required.

What we're looking for

You'll need:

• Hands-on experience working within the Fire & Security industry
• Strong knowledge of at least one Fire & Security discipline
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• A full UK driving licence
• Good customer service and communication skills
• A professional and reliable approach

An ECS card and experience working for an NSI Gold accredited company would be advantageous but aren't essential.

What you'll get

• £38,000 salary + company van, mobile phone & Tablet
• 28 days' holiday, including bank holidays

• Monday-Friday, 08:30-17:00
• 1 in 5 on-call rota with standby pay + enhanced rate for call-outs
• Additional travel payment for longer journeys

Standby pay is £25.00 per day Monday to Friday, £45.00 per day at weekends & Bank Holidays. On-call travel is paid door to door
