The role involves servicing and maintaining fire alarms, intruder alarms, access control systems, and CCTV across commercial contracts in the East of Scotland. About the Role:
Our Client is urgently seeking an experienced and reliable Fire & Security Engineer to join their growing team due to new contract wins across the East of Scotland. The successful candidate will be responsible for the servicing, and maintenance of fire alarms, intruder alarms, access control systems, and CCTV systems across a range of commercial contracts in the Central Belt & East of Scotland.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, commission, and service fire detection and life safety systems to BS5839 standards
Maintain and repair security systems including intruder alarms, access control, and CCTV
Carry out fault finding and reactive repairs
Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with client schedules
Provide professional and courteous customer service on client sites
Ensure all work complies with current health & safety regulations and company procedures
Participate in on-call rota for emergency response (1 in 4 or as required)
Maintain accurate records and complete job reports via PDA or service software
Requirements:
Proven experience in fire and security system installation and maintenance
Knowledge of key industry standards (e.g. BS5839, BS5266, NSI or SSAIB schemes)
Experience with a range of manufacturers (e.g. Texecom, Galaxy, Hikvision, Paxton, Kentec)
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Ability to pass standard DBS
Strong fault-finding skills and a professional approach to customer service
