Job summary

Mitie is seeking an experienced engineer to join our Fire & Security Systems Operations Field service team in Bristol. You will be responsible for delivering Planned Preventive Maintenance, reactive calls, and small works across fire alarms, CCTV, access control, and intruder systems.

The role requires routine servicing, testing, inspections, calibration, fault finding, and clear documentation, with strong HSE focus.

Qualifications

• Experienced engineer with a background in fire & security systems.
• Proven experience in carrying out PPM, reactive calls, and small works.
• Service testing and inspections to relevant standards/codes.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to take initiative and work with little supervision.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and RAMS.

Responsibilities

• Deliver effective PPM, reactive calls and small works.
• Carry out servicing, testing, inspection, repairs and installation of fire alarm, CCTV, access control, intruder alarm equipment.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records in a timely manner.
• Participate in training to keep knowledge up to date.
• Adhere to Health & Safety requirements and apply fault-finding during inspections.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members.

• Ensure effective delivery of PPM, reactive calls, and small works.
• Carry out routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs, and installation of fire alarm, CCTV, access control, intruder alarm and associated equipment to the relevant legislative and qualitative standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records in a timely manner.
• Participate proactively in any company-initiated training to keep knowledge up to date.
• Work to high levels of Health and Safety Requirements and apply fault-finding techniques during inspections.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Qualifications & Experience
