Job description

I am working with a trusted maintenance contractor who are based in Bristol to recruit a Fire & Security Engineer to join the team.
Duties will include:

• Servicing, maintaining, and repairing fire and security systems across residential and commercial properties
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out corrective works on CCTV, access control, intruder, PA, and fire alarm systems
• Conducting inspections, tests, and system upgrades in line with current British Standards
• Certifying compliant systems and maintaining accurate service records
• Working from wiring diagrams and schematics to ensure technical precision
• Responding to emergency call-outs and participating in the on-call rota
• Collaborating with wider teams and contractors on larger projects

You will need:

• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar fire and security role
• Proven experience with Intruder Alarms, CCTV (Analogue/IP), Access Control, Public Address Systems, and both conventional and addressable Fire Alarms
• NVQ, City & Guilds, or time-served trade qualifications
• Solid working knowledge of current industry and British standards
• Comfortable with IT for reporting and work tracking
• Full UK driving licence (company vehicle provided)
• Willingness to undertake a DBS check
• Excellent problem solving skills, great attention to detail, and a strong customer service ethic
