Job summary

FS Recruitment Services Derby is seeking an experienced Fire & Security engineer to move off the tools and into the classroom at the Training Academy. You will translate hands-on knowledge into apprentices’ skills and professionalism. The role focuses on delivering FESS Level 3 training, creating engaging materials, and mentoring recruits, with collaboration across management and external clients.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience installing Fire & Security systems.
• Passion for coaching and mentoring early-career engineers
• Confident verbal and written communication
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Train apprentices to the FESS Level 3 Standard
• Deliver engaging classroom and online technical training
• Develop learning materials that reflect real-world installs
• Create and promote commercial training modules
• Mentor apprentices and support recruitment
• Collaborate with Management to meet academy goals
• Engage with external clients and agencies
• Maintain admin, QA compliance and learner records
