Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Safety Technician based primarily in Aberdeen to inspect, service and certify fire protection and suppression systems. The role blends workshop and site work, with potential offshore, marine and international projects as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in fire protection or related engineering disciplines.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to produce accurate service reports and certification documentation.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and customer service.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel UK and internationally, including offshore environments.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and certify fire extinguishers and fire suppression systems.
• Refurbish, test and prepare equipment for customer projects.
• Support the installation, commissioning and maintenance of fire protection systems.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs on fire safety equipment.
• Produce service reports, maintenance records and certification documentation.
• Support customer sites across the UK, including marine, offshore and international projects when required.
• Maintain the highest standards of safety, quality and housekeeping.
